Volunteer Research Assistant

The Academi Heddwch Cymru was launched in 2020 and is funded by the Welsh Government and hosted by the Welsh Centre for International Affairs (WCIA). Their aim is to ensure that Wales makes an internationally recognised contribution to peace research and practice by becoming a part of a global network of peace institutes.

As a volunteer researcher, I mapped existing and new peace links and peace-related partnerships between Wales and the world, including schools, civil society and academic networks. The Wales for Peace project saw the creation of a Wales’ Peace Map.

I have also written blog articles about Indigenous Language Day: Irish and Welsh Celtic Connection.

Topics I’ve researched include:

  • Peace researchers in Wales

  • Peace organisations in Wales

  • I’m currently creating a list of references/web-links/case studies on peace education worldwide
