“Kerri has been volunteering for the Welsh Centre for International Affairs for almost two years. She has been mainly supporting the work of Academi Heddwch Cymru – the Wales Peace Institute. Kerri has enabled us to gather data to update the content of the Wales Peace Map by researching Wales’ global peace links. She has also been gathering information to support the development of a Wales network of academics specialising in peace research. Throughout her volunteering time with us, Kerri has been friendly, reliable, helpful and supportive, as well as producing excellent work which will help Academi Heddwch Cymru move forward.”
— Hayley Richard - Head of Programme Development & Policy
“Kerri is an incredibly enthusiastic and hard-working team player, who is passionate about our industry and learning as much as she can and seizing every opportunity that is available to her. She joined our Development team at Yeti initially for work experience for a few weeks, but we were so impressed with her work ethic and can-do spirit, that we hired her to join us on a paid development project and then subsequently as a Jnr Researcher on one of our productions. Kerri always met her deadlines, delivered comprehensive and thorough research and generally always gave of her best to every task assigned to her. We’d happily have Kerri back with us at Yeti in the future.”
— Sarah Stevenson - Head of Development
“Since volunteering on the South West Anarchy Research Project with the University of Bristol, Kerri has been unwaveringly enthusiastic. She has taken on various responsibilities, that are wide ranging, and has tackled each with dedication. When given research tasks to do, Kerri has taken it upon herself to do more than asked of her, researching not only the given subject, but reading around this as well. This skill, and what Kerri has produced using this skill has meant that her research has not only been thorough, but very well contextualized and interesting.
Similarly, Kerri went above and beyond on tasks such as graphic logo design, producing not one or two, but eight to ten designs for people to consider. She is also very receptive to advice, and takes on guidance very well – for example, when I provided her with guidelines for logos that are associated with academic institutions, she diligently made changes to pre-existing work to ensure that her work fit the brief.
In the first year of the project, on which Kerri has worked with us, she has been one of the only volunteers to take on more than two elements of the project – simultaneously tackling graphic design, social media and engagement, and general project research. This I have found very impressive. Additionally, despite being a substantial commute from us, she has attended every session that she has been able to make.
In sum, Kerri has substantially helped the project as an enthused and dedicated volunteer, even alongside her own job and degree.”
— Matilda Jones - Specialist Archaeological Technician
“Kerri has done numerous data creation projects for us, and her tenacious research skills have uncovered copious contacts for use in our many commercial engagements. She has managed to extract invaluable information from diverse sources to give us a real head-start in building successful sales for our clients. Kerri is hardworking, thorough, versatile in applying her skills, and always goes the extra mile to ensure project success.”
