PAS Volunteer

With Dyfed Archaeology Trust, I volunteered on the Portable Antiques Scheme (PAS), writing up descriptions and measurements of each object. PAS is a national scheme that records archaeological objects found by members of the public in England and Wales.

I’ve also participated in a project called ‘Archaeology on your doorstep’, which discovers the local heritage and archaeology of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. The project allowed me to write up information about my local archaeology and history, which then updated the Historic Environment Records.

I have written historical notes for Gelli Aur Country Park, Middleton Hall (foundations are found in the National Botanic Gardens of Wales), Church of St David in Llanarthne, and Paxton Tower.
